What is Derbyshire Advocacy Service?

Derbyshire Advocacy Service is an independent advocacy organisation. It is a registered charity that is governed by a management board of trustees who are volunteers. The service’s objectives and activities are to empower and uphold the rights of adults with learning disabilities who live in the Derby city and across Derbyshire.

The service also provides support for vulnerable adults and juveniles at the time of their arrest in police custody through the Derbyshire Appropriate Adult Service.
